30 minute shoulders, neck, face and scalp...$30 Why purchase a package?Just like exercise or eating healthier, I believe the benefits of massage are cumulative. You wouldn't take a walk once every six months and call it a workout program. Nor should you think that years of built up stress and strain on your body can be corrected in one or even two massage sessions. Depending on your issues and daily activities; weekly, bi-weekly or monthly massage may be needed to keep you flexible and functioning well. I want you to be able to receive massage as often as you need not as often as you can afford, so my package deals are afford-ably priced.

Massage Therapist Review from Amazon Local
Colleen Melody-Robinson LMT Owner/Therapist
Hi I'm Colleen! I graduated with honors from CT Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) in 2013. I am a proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and am certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic
Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). I love to take continuing education classes and to keep up on the latest research in the field, because I feel I need to stay fresh and engaged in order to best help my clients.
Before becoming a massage therapist I worked in retail management and before that I worked in the childcare field. I had long been interested in becoming a massage therapist and finally, after leaving my job of 12 years, the time seemed right to embark on that journey and I'm so happy I did!
After 25 years of stressful jobs I can really understand the negative impact it has on your mind, body and spirit. Also, since I spent years suffering from the same kind of shoulder, neck and low back issues most people have I also can zero in on those areas and help you relax and let go of tension and pain. I so enjoy helping my clients and seeing their relaxed smiling faces after our session.
Since music has played such a big part of my life (with a last name like Melody I guess it would have too!) I believe that music and sounds can be very healing. I have a wide variety of music to choose from to enhance your session or you may choose to bring in something of your own. I can (and have) massaged to everything from whale sounds to Disney soundtracks to heavy metal. Whatever makes you feel comfortable, it's your session.
Sessions are available in a variety of rejuvenating massage techniques including traditional Swedish, Thai, Acupressure, Deep Tissue Massage and more and can be customized to suit your needs and further enhanced with aromatherapy and more. Check out my price list to view all options or to find information about massage packages and gift certificates. For further info see frequently asked questions and policies.
Massage Modalities
Swedish
Also considered the "classic" style. When someone thinks of massage they think of Swedish Massage with it's long gliding strokes (effleurage) kneading (petrissage) deeper circular strokes (friction) tapping hacking or chopping with the side of the hand or loose fists (tapotement) and using hands to create a rapid movement over the tissues (vibration). Swedish style is used to release muscle tension/knots and creates a sense of overall relaxation and well-being. Read more about Swedish Massage
Thai Massage
Thai Massage is a system of manipulations and stretching influenced by medical traditions from India, China and Southeast Asia and also carries associations with Yoga. Learn More about Thai Massage
Swe-Thai
Swe-Thai Massage combines classic Swedish moves with traditional Thai stretches. Performed on the massage table instead of a floor mat. Promotes relaxation, releases tension/knots and increases range of motion. Read more about Swe-Thai Massage

Acupressure
Acupressure is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. These areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the organs and person's general health. Learn More About Acupressure
Energy Balancing
Energy balancing is a system of realigning and re-attuning the body’s electro-magnetic energy field. The body’s energy flows through pathways in and around the body. When the body’s paths are interrupted, health and wellness can be compromised. Used as a stand alone or in conjunction with other therapies.
Positional Release TechniquePositional Release is a system that releases hyper-sensitive tissue easily and quickly. The practitioner places the muscle to be released in it's most relaxed position and monitors the painful area while holding and fine tuning the position. Similar to Orthobionomy, Strain Counter-Strain, and Neuromuscular Re-education techniques, this uses the body's nervous system to remind the muscles to relax. A very gentle technique that can be integrated in a normal massage session or used as a stand alone.
